Dr Perera is a graduate of Monash University with honours. Earlier in his career he was an emergency registrar and has worked at Concord, Westmead and Blacktown emergency departments.
Dr Perera is passionate about general practice and loves to promote a holistic approach to diagnosis and management. His special interests include geriatrics, sports and exercise medicine, mental health, diabetes and obesity management. He undertook a year long thesis in the field of diabetes. Dr Perera has undergone additional training in mental health and is FPS accredited (focused psychological strategies) allowing him to regularly provide CBT, acceptance and other counselling services to patients.
He still engages in high level sports. His sporting achievements include: National finalist in powerlifting in 2017 and playing Sydney grade cricket. His other hobbies include building computers, all things home theatre and watching movies.

BULK BILLING AVAILABLE We charge a $50 standard fee for non medicare holders. Telephoning the practice during surgery hours will enable you to make an appointment with the doctor of your choice. Please note that appointment times are only approximate, as delays may occur when emergencies arise or practitioners need to give extra time to very sick patients. At the time of making an appointment, please let the Receptionist know if you need a longer appointment as this can help reduce waiting time for other patients. If you wish to speak to the doctor by phone please let the receptionist know if your call is urgent. Your doctor may be tending to other patients & may need to call you back at a later time. Emergencies can be seen at any time without an appointment. It may save time if you can phone our practice before you arrive to let us know you are coming. This ensures our staff can arrange some time for the doctor to see you.
